Kyoto 250 Old Black Deerskin Leather

The Kyoto Tradition celebrates 250 years of Birkenstock footwear.  Crafted from supple deer leather, featuring a unique antler embossing homage to Bavarian craftsmanship and the region’s traditional dress.  

The leather has been tanned at the historic Kolesch tannery, established in 1723 using traditional artisanal methods that involve only salt and water, ensuring a natural finish. The hook-and-loop straps are adorned with embossed details inspired by Lederhosen and hunting motifs, adding a touch of heritage to this exclusive design. The cork midsole has been harvested from a 250-year-old Cork Oak as part of a global limited-edition release where only 250 pairs were made.
